I have always loved Anemones but thanks to hot winds and salty water I accept that I cant grow them. 9 years on, this planting only receives dappled overhead sun. They live their life with Oak Leaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea quercifolia) Liriope (Liriope Evergreen Giant) Camellia (Camellia Plantation Pink) and White Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia Natchez).
I did this little sketch of the Anemones in their first year of life, marveling at the shapes of their petals. This photo was taken this week and it made my little heart sing.
